Music for mobiles!
The Music department have made audio cds, music for
video but this was the
first time that they’ve composed mobile ringtones.
Ten Year 9 music groups were given
a free reign when it came to the theme of Rights & Responsibilities.
Using the Convention of the Rights of the Child, students
chose a right that interested them and then individually
or in small groups wrote full length raps!
Their brief however was to make sure that they considered
a repeatable chorus within their piece that would work
as a 30 second looped mobile ringtone. With a session
from Somethin Else producer, Lee Erinmez, students
went on to compose their beats either through live
work or digitally using Cubasis.
